According to a recent report of GlobalData, the total amount from Merger & Acquisition deals in India has incorporated $82.3 billion, the highest it has ever been on record, more than double the amount which came in during the Q1 of 2022. The biggest contributors in this uplift have been two major deals, says Snigdha Parida, Thematic Research Analyst at GlobalData. One of them was the merger between HDFC Ltd. With HDFC Bank, worth $58.5 Billion, in April. The other was the acquisition of 25% stake in Adani New Industries by TotalEnergies of Adani Enterprises, worth $12.5 Billion. Australia and China are the other two that have seen hefty number of deals in M&A. In addition, the APAC region has witnessed a growth of 119% in Q2 2022.
