On Wednesday, TMC held a reshuffling meeting, which led to renouncing of ministers Paresh Adhikari, Soumen Mahapatra, Humayun Kabir and Ratna De Nag, all of which were not serving the party any good in ways uncertified. Adhikari, alleged to be associated with the teachers’ scam case, ended up in the removal of his daughter from a schoolteacher post. Formerly, Partha Chatterjee was handed to the ED, whose responsibilities are being shared by Shashi Panja and Sovandeb Chattopadhyay. TMC cabinet has also re-arranged ministerial responsibilities within others. Three new members have been given positions in the cabinet by Banerjee.
