EU antitrust regulators quiz developers on Google app payments

Last month, EU antitrust regulators brought along a questionnaire for app developers, concerning the threat of Google to drop any apps using other payment systems than its own from its app store. The survey consisted of quarries like Google’s flexibility towards other payment systems, the impact on revenue of developers, the scale of users onboard with the change of a payment page. Alphabet Unit’s tech giant issued an allowance of non-gaming app developers to use competing payment pages at 12% fee, instead of 15%.
