Grappling with dues, subsidies, Punjab seeks ₹1 lakh crore from Delhi

According to the report of RBI, Punjab is bunched with India’s 5 most fiscally vulnerable states. To irradicate the piling subsidies dues of about ₹9000 crore and govt departments’ liabilities of about ₹2600 crore, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has requested for 1 lakh crore from the Centre. This will include actions like free 300 units electricity for every residence, which will only contribute in the rising crisis, says RBI. The AAP member emphasized upon the same in the recently held Niti Aayog meeting too.
