A senior retired police officer of the Uttar Pradesh Police had filed for round-the-clock security to the Delhi High Court, pertaining to his contribution in the Katara murder case involving the then minister DP Yadav’s son and nephew. The HC dismissed his plea of Anil Samaniya (former DSP), commenting upon the overload on the police force for piling cases and remarking on the nuisance of providing every murder case involved police officer. The court also urged the retired officer to be capable enough to secure not only himself, but the people around him as a defence trained man.
