- Sarma and Sangma come together for resolving disputes
Well aware of the persisting Assam and Meghalaya inter-state border issues, Chief ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma and Conrad K Sangma sat together on Sunday, aiming to rectify the differences. The two CMs concluded issuing regional committees for the remaining six of the twelve areas of dispute, which fall under three districts of Meghalaya. These committees, forming within the next 15 days, will be notified by their respective state governments. This is phase-2 of the agreement between the two.
