Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong explained on Sunday of India abstaining from voting at the UN Security Council resolution, which wasn’t followed up because of Russia (being a permanent member and representing the President for that month) using its veto. Unlike Singapore, which needs to use a firm voice against in order to gain future allies in case of a national crisis, India’s trade relations with Russia have been the rigorous reason, like buying military equipment, said Loong. Despite getting sanction warnings from the US, India continues to buy the 2018-dealt Russian manufactured missile defence system.
