Passed Lok Ayukta Bill causes uproar in the Kerala Assembly

The arguable Lok Ayukta (Amendment) Bill that presents the executive as the appellate (who have power to review or reverse judgment) authority of reports passed by Lok Ayukta, has been passed by the Kerala Assembly. Loud exchanges were made due to Opposition, including Congress-UDF, boycotting the bill as “weakening of anti-corruption agency”. Despite repeated disagreement of the opposition about the passing of the bill and claiming no say in subject committee, the House approved of it.
