In the wake of the unfortunate event of Cyrus Mistry’s death due to a road accident, Road and Highways minister Nitin Gadkari lamented upon the reasons of such accidents, being the irresponsibility of detailed project reports (DPR). The minister blamed these DPRs, made by construction companies, to be the root of the cause, continuing by stating the govt’s expenditure on road repairs every year around 10k-15k Crore.
