Minor boy offers fading father his liver; Seeks SC permission

A minor boy of 17 came in front of the Supreme Court to grant him permission to offer his liver to his fatally-ill father, after he got his plea unanswered by the Uttar Pradesh health secretary. Due to the fragility of the patient’s health, CJI Lalit has issued an urgent hearing on 12th September, which will be benched by Justices, alongside a senior health official from UP govt. The boy, not fulfilling the criteria of being a major, has been asked to get preliminary tests before the concerned hospital.
