Recently govt launched Nikshay Mitra initiative to enable adoption of TB patients has already witnessed 1.7 Lakh affected adopted within three days. The govt’s aim to launch this program is to eradicate TB through a national inclusive phenomenon and to provide adoption, food or vocational aid to every TB-affected person. With 9 Lakh having agreed to participate, the data of patients can be found online, wherein UP has the highest number of 4,416 so far. Nikshay means eradication of Tuberculosis.
