Even though India’s political ties with Canada have been friendly, the same is in jeopardy as the latte refuses to take action upon perpetrators that are targeting Indian nationals; neither is the country stopping the currently aggressively unfolding “Khalistan Referendum” movement. Officials have warned Indians living in Canada, or students pursuing to go, to register to the high commission of India in Ottawa or Consulates General of India in Toronto and Vancouver, via their websites, or to mada.gov.in for their emergent safety. This reaction is in addition to the Canadian govt having denied stopping the SFJ-led movement.
