In the recent unfolding of events surrounding Rampur’s Muhammad Ali Jauhar University in Uttar Pradesh, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear a plea of the chancellor of the university, Samajwadi Part Leader Azam Khan. His plea is set to unfold against the wrongdoings of the UP state government, which is allegedly targeting him under several criminal cases, in opposition of the private university’s foundation. A bench of CJI Uday Umesh Lalit and Justices S Ravindra Bhat and J B Pardiwala will be in motion with the case on Thursday.
