After a woman approached to the Supreme Court in a fight of seeking maintenance from her husband, the court passed the verdict of the man providing ₹10,000 per month to his wife and ₹6,000 per month to his minor child, who wasn’t able to provide for them since his party business had been shut down. The court stated that it was a man’s unimpeachable duty to provide income to his wife who had left her matrimonial home under all circumstances, considering the man is able and healthy to do so, as read by Section 125 of CrPC.
