Yet another flood havoc in Assam

Despite being hit by floods twice this year, the state of Assam has been struck by yet another flood after consecutive rains last week, affecting almost 70,000 people. The neighboring district of East Siang in Arunachal Pradesh has also been flustered amid the floods, which may not witness any improvements before Friday. Central Water Commission has issued rising levels of rivers Brahmaputra, Subansiri, Brurhidihing, Dhansiri and Kopili are inthe upper Assam areas; while Brahmaputra, Puthimari, Pagladiya, Manas, Beki, Gaurang and Sankosh in the lower.
