After refusing a kasi woman’s divorce through triple talaq due to her inability of presenting viable documents for the same, the 12-year-old daughter of the woman has been denied a passport by the airport authorities. The woman married a Hindu man and filed a name change from her daughter to her husband’s name, which was refused by the airport. The authorities have barred the girl to fly abroad as the woman’s divorce cannot be proven without a court issued decree; however, the authorities can re-issue the passport upon the adoption act.
