The High Court ordered on Thursday for Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) accepting Rutuja Latke’s, the potential candidate of the Uddhav faction for Andheri East bypolls, resignation. This allows the widow of late Andheri East MLA Ramesh Latke to stand in the poll, which was further urged by Uddhav to let her contest opposed by right of convention in Maharashtra. Ex-minister Anil Parab though, mocked the faction by implying that it would be disgraceful for a widow to ask for votes.
