Last month, the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government of Maharashtra came in a state of heavy economic setback, as they lost the Vedanta-Foxconn project to Gujarat, even after assumptions due to talks to set up in Pune. At present, the govt is getting heated backlash from the opposing govt of the Thackeray unit, as it loses another big investment, the ₹22,000 Cr Tata-Airbus project. Shiv Sena’s Aaditya thackeray attacked industries minister Uday Samant to resign. Back and forth between NCP and BJP spokespersons has unfolded questioning CM Shinde’s legitimacy too.
