India-UAE talks of bilateral trade

Joint Minister of Indian-Arab Council, S Vikramjit Singh consulted upon India’s trade status and issues with UAE Ministers in a meeting on Friday. Two bilateral agreements Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and the Free Trade Agreement (FTA), led to important discussions of the cooperative future trade. Rice exports from India were suffering due to pesticide residues, which, he suggested, can be countered by installation of labs following mutually acceptable measures. Talks of Punjab agricultural trade were also raised.
