In attendance of the NTR memorial lecture in Visakhapatnam, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addressed the issue of freebie promises by certain political parties and how it may affect certain states in their revenues. The minister complained as to why it is mandatory on her end to address such an irresponsible act; further adding that the government system is no leaking bucket anymore as digitalization has made things very efficient. In another event, she insisted the urgency to remove some taxes for better export policies.
