As 2020 introduced a large-scale work from home option throughout India, IT companies faces a shortage in talented and capable IT recruitments. What has instead come to the shore by giants is that many applicants tried to submit fake applications; meanwhile companies hired them without thorough background checks, due to urgent need. Companies like Accenture and Cognizant India have admitted the flaw in the system and have referred to tolerating zero turbulence because of such troublemakers. Head of HR law at law firm Nishith Desai Associates, VIkram Shroff says that companies need to be more diligent in the hiring process.
