India’s First Climathon’23 Startup Event to Launch in July

The first edition of Climathon’23, the world’s first 24-hour Pitchathon exclusively designed for Indian climate-tech startups, is all set to be launched in the city between July 5 and 6. The event, organized by Capital-A and Java Capital, aims to bridge the gap between the urgent reality of climate change and the realm of startup innovation.

Climathon’23 seeks to provide an investment opportunity for early-stage startups in the climate tech space. Startups focused on areas such as energy transition, alternate material, circular economy, waste management, food systems, green buildings, and mobility & transport are eligible to apply for the event.

Vinod Shankar, Partner at Java Capital, emphasizes the shared mission and invites entrepreneurs and startups passionate about creating an impact on climate change to join the journey. The event promises exposure to a global network of investors, mentors, and industry leaders.

All Indian-based startups with innovative products and solutions focusing on climate change and sustainability, regardless of their stage, can apply. Winning startups will be evaluated based on criteria such as innovation, market potential, scalability, and environmental impact. In addition to securing considerable funding, they will gain the opportunity to connect with a global network of investors, mentors, and industry leaders.
