After being invited to King Charles III’s coronation concert, where she delivered a spoken word performance, actress Sonam Kapoor has now been invited by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, to attend the reception that is being organised at 10 Downing Street for UK-India Week 2023. Sonam spends most of her time in London after her marriage to Anand Ahuja in 2018.
The reception, part of India Global Forum’s flagship event UK-India Week, will be held between June 26-30. Today, Sonam will attend the reception and give a talk on India and its cultural influence worldwide.
Sonam has been away from the big screen since 2019 due to her marriage and the arrival of her son Vayu. However, she will soon appear in Shome Makhija’s film Blind, where she plays a visually impaired character. The movie also stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey.
