As of now there is activity in Sensex. So yesterday I think liquidity and activity will start in Bankex that is the BSE Banking Index Future and Option segment.
NSE is withdrawing the change in expiry of Bank Nifty. So now the existing expiry will continue for every Thursday. So I think that is good for BSE because already in last couple of weeks we witnessed activities in BSE Sensex weekly option contract. So I think that will help BSE to get the more activities even in our houses we are quite active in Sensex trading and all. So I think now Friday will be dedicated to BSE for weekly expiry.
Yes, so there is nothing that changes as per the recent circular because the existing Thursday expiry is there for Nifty and Bank Nifty that will continue.
So only advantage is that people will get active in Sensex on Friday and there is no change as well. Earlier there was a thing like if expiry of Bank Nifty changes to Friday, there will be a change in the big testing data set up and all because once you take the position on Friday or after the expiry the new position will happen on Monday. So that kind of thing or complexity was there but that will be out now.
So smoother things will be there from the trader side even after this circular. I think that is a relief for people those who are finding complexity that how both the exchange and how both the prices will correlate. So there is nothing major in terms of traders or in the mind of brokers.
