Heavy rain lashed the national capital on Thursday, leading to waterlogging in several places. The India Meteorological Department has also forecast thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain in Delhi and its adjoining areas. Airlines have issued advisories, alerting that flight operations from Delhi airport could get impacted due to rains. Monsoon entered Delhi on Sunday, two days earlier than its normal schedule, giving a respite from the intense heat. The weather department in its latest update said that southwest monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of north Arabian Sea and some more parts of Rajasthan and conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of the country during next 2-3 days. It has forecast light to moderate fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana during next 2 days, with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall in some places in east Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
