Legendary Australian cricketer Ian Healy has expressed concerns over some of his country’s top bowlers conceding six runs per over against England during the second Ashes Test at Lord’s. Healy highlighted that Pat Cummins’ side would face a significant challenge in curbing England’s run flow. Despite Australia putting themselves in a seemingly comfortable position after posting 416 runs in the first innings on Day 2, England responded fiercely, scoring at a rapid rate of 4.55 runs per over, reaching 278/4 off just 61 overs. With England now trailing Australia by only 138 runs in the first innings, they have practically nullified the tourists’ advantage. Healy emphasized the need for Australia to tighten up their bowling performance to regain control of the match. He expressed worry over the performances of Mitchell Starc, Cameron Green, and Josh Hazlewood, who all went for around six runs per over. Healy feels that the Australian bowlers will have to produce more sideways movement to trouble the England batters in order to regain the upper hand in the match.
