Amit Shah in Lucknow: Modi’s First OBC Government After Independence

Lucknow: During the celebration of Sonelal Patel Jayanti, the founder of the Apna Dal party in Uttar Pradesh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah targeted opposition parties and emphasized the representation of OBC voters in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Shah mentioned that the Modi government has the highest number of OBC ministers in any ministry after independence. He also stated that previous governments, including SP, BSP, and Congress, did not give constitutional recognition to the OBC community. However, the Modi government established the OBC Commission, which has given recognition and respect to the OBC society. Shah highlighted the various initiatives taken by the Modi government for the welfare of the backward classes, such as reservation in MBBS seats, 27% reservation in MBBS admissions, and reservations in petrol and gas agencies. Shah praised the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh and credited Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for attracting industrial investments in the state. He urged the workers of the Apna Dal party to work towards ensuring victory for the BJP and Nishad Party alliance in the 2024 elections.
