BRS hits out at Rahul Gandhi for describing party as “B Team” of BJP

The ruling BRS party in Telangana has hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his comments that the party does not want to share a stage with BRS, which he called the “B Team” of the BJP. BRS parliamentary party leader K Keshav Rao criticized Gandhi’s attitude and emphasized the need for opposition unity. He highlighted the strength of regional parties and praised Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s leadership. Gandhi had accused the BRS of corruption and claimed that their “remote control” was with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Lok Sabha member Nama Nageswara Rao countered Gandhi’s criticism, pointing out that BRS had sought answers from the NDA government on various issues in Parliament and even gave a privilege motion against the Prime Minister. Telangana Finance Minister T Harish Rao defended BRS as the “A Team” for the poor, stating that the party was founded to protect the country from the BJP. He dismissed Gandhi’s corruption allegations and accused the Congress of being synonymous with corruption. State Congress president A Revanth Reddy challenged BRS leaders for a debate on the CAG report on the Kaleswaram project.
