PM Modi launches projects worth Rs 6,100 crore in Telangana, says Centre’s initiatives benefitting state’s industry, tourism, youth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for various infrastructure development projects worth Rs 6,100 crore in Telangana. The projects, launched by the Centre, are aimed at benefiting the state’s industry, tourism, and generating employment opportunities for the youth. While addressing a public meeting in Warangal, PM Modi said, ‘Telangana is turning into a hub connecting all neighbouring economic corridors.’ He also highlighted that India is witnessing increased foreign investments. Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union ministers Nitin Gadkari and G Kishan Reddy, as well as other leaders, were present at the event. However, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao skipped the Prime Minister’s event.

In his speech, PM Modi criticized CM KCR, accusing him of pushing Telangana into corruption, stating, ‘There is no project in Telangana without corruption charges.’ He further added that the projects launched on Saturday would provide employment to over 3,000 individuals and contribute to the industrial development of Warangal.

Following his visit to Telangana, PM Modi will travel to Rajasthan’s Bikaner to inaugurate development projects worth over Rs 24,300 crore. This includes the dedication of a six-lane greenfield expressway section of the Amritsar – Jamnagar Economic Corridor and the phase-I of the Inter-State Transmission Line for Green Energy Corridor. He will also lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Bikaner Railway station.

PM Modi is currently on a four-state tour covering Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Rajasthan. Except for Uttar Pradesh, all these states are scheduled to undergo elections later this year.
