Bawankule: If Thackeray Keeps Insulting Fadnavis and Shah, It Might Create Law and Order Problems

BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule issued a warning that continuous insults by Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray towards Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Home Minister Amit Shah could potentially result in a law and order situation in the state. Bawankule accused Thackeray of having lost his mental balance and urged him to seek treatment. Additionally, he labeled Thackeray as a tainted former chief minister and a tainted person. Defending Fadnavis’ work, Bawankule insisted that Thackeray had done nothing for the state during his tenure as Chief Minister. He further challenged Thackeray to insult Fadnavis again and threatened to organize ‘jode maro’ protests against him wherever he goes. Stressing that BJP would not assume responsibility for any potential repercussions, Bawankule cautioned against the potential law and order issues created by Thackeray’s insults. In a recent address to Shiv Sena workers, Thackeray referred to Fadnavis as a ‘taint’ on the city of Nagpur for his alliance with the NCP, despite previously denying such a possibility. Thackeray played an old audio clip of Fadnavis affirming that he would never join forces with the NCP, highlighting what he described as the BJP leader’s contradictory stance. The day also saw BJP supporters staging protests against Thackeray, accompanied by a mock funeral procession organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in the Sitabuldi area.
