The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Thursday, with Tata Consultancy (up 2.47%) and Infosys (up 2.39%) being the top gainers. Coforge, LTIMindtree Ltd, and Persistent Systems also ended the day with gains. On the other hand, HCL Technologies finished as the top loser of the day. The Nifty IT index closed 1.75% up at 29628.2. The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 29.45 points at 19413.75, while the BSE Sensex stood up 164.99 points at 65558.89. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 18 ended in the green, while 32 closed in the red. Zomato, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank, Reliance Power, and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Trigyn Tech, Ashoka Metcast, Tejas Networks, Kellton Tech, and Refex Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Urban Enviro Waste, Ortel Communications, Lexus Granito(India), Vilin Bio Med Ltd., and Magson Retail & Dist hit their fresh 52-week lows.
