So far, nine suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

They sought to submit a memorandum to Chief Minister Biren Singh, urging him to take immediate steps to end the cycle of violence that has been raging for more than two months. However, security personnel stopped the procession of women starting from Imphal’s Singjamei market.
