Sussex India Scholarships: A Great Opportunity for Indian Students

Sussex India Scholarships are designed to support Indian students who aspire to pursue postgraduate-level programs at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom. As part of this scholarship, eligible students are rewarded with a reduction in their tuition fees, with waivers of up to £3,000. The University of Sussex offers an unlimited number of scholarships to qualified candidates.

To be considered eligible for the Sussex India Scholarships, applicants must be residents of India and classified as ‘overseas’ students for fee purposes. Additionally, they should have secured a place on a full-time Master’s degree program starting in September 2023. However, it’s important to note that certain programs are not eligible for this scholarship, including Certificates and Diplomas, courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS), Development Studies MA, Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status), Globalisation, Business and Development MA, Governance, Development and Public Policy MA, Power, Participation, and Social Change MA, Poverty and Development MA, degrees in Social Work (if receiving an NHS bursary), online courses, schools direct teaching courses, and Masters funded by research councils.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for the Sussex India Scholarship after receiving your confirmed admission letter. The application process involves applying through PG Apply, the university’s application portal. In case you have applied through one of the university’s representatives, they can assist you with the application process. It’s worth noting that each applicant can only accept one University of Sussex scholarship.

To express your interest in the scholarship, you must indicate it on your PG Apply application before registering for your Master’s degree. The scholarship information will then be included in the Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) document, which is essential for your visa application. In case the scholarship details are not included in your CAS or if you wish to apply for the scholarship after the CAS has been generated, you should contact the university’s admission office.

The selection process for the Sussex India Scholarships involves a comprehensive review of each application by a panel. While academic records and financial need are important factors, the panel also considers the applicant’s chosen program, financial stability, nationality, and acceptance of the admission offer.
