AIADMK general secretary, Edappadi K Palaniswami, accused the allies of DMK of being “servile” to the Tamil Nadu’s ruling party. He stated that in Tamil Nadu, it was the AIADMK that led the NDA, while at the national level, the BJP steered the coalition. Palaniswami expressed confidence that the NDA would win 330 Lok Sabha constituencies in the 2024 polls. He highlighted the country’s growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the effective handling of challenges by the NDA. Palaniswami alleged that in the DMK-led front, parties worked like “slaves.” He emphasized that in the NDA, parties have the freedom to speak facts, as stated by Prime Minister Modi. Palaniswami further noted that while all political parties aim for growth and power, once the alliance is formed for elections, the common interests of the combine become important. He dismissed the allegation that the AIADMK is servile to the BJP and stated that his party is the key force of the NDA in Tamil Nadu.
