Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), made a significant announcement on Saturday. He declared that if his party wins the upcoming state Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, they would provide 300 units of free electricity with 24×7 power supply to cities and villages across the state. Kejriwal made this announcement during a public event in Raipur, where he also criticized the condition of government schools in Chhattisgarh under the Congress government. He stated that these schools were in terrible condition, with many being closed and having only one teacher for 10 classes. In comparison, Kejriwal highlighted the achievements of his own government in improving government schools in Delhi and urged the audience to ask their Delhi-based relatives about the changes. He emphasized that his government’s efforts in the education sector were groundbreaking and that they were focused on the betterment of common people. Kejriwal was accompanied by Bhagwant Mann, the Chief Minister of Punjab. The upcoming state Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh are part of a series of elections scheduled in five states, including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram, by the end of this year.
