Oppo Launches Enco Air3 Pro: Upgraded Earphones with Advanced Features

Oppo has launched the Enco Air3 Pro, the upgraded version of its earphones, following the success of the Enco Air3. Priced at ₹4,999, the Enco Air3 Pro offers several enhancements in specifications and performance. The earphones come with support for advanced Bluetooth codecs and bamboo-fibre diaphragms, promising a better audio experience. The design of the Enco Air3 Pro is similar to its predecessor, with a stem design and rounded sides. It also features an in-canal fit for improved active noise cancellation and comes with an IP55 rating for protection against dust and water. The earphones offer touch-sensitive areas on the top of each stem for functions like playback control, noise cancellation adjustment, voice assistant access, and volume control. Additional features of the Enco Air3 Pro include Google Fast Pair support and app-based features such as Oppo Alive Audio for spatial surround sound and Golden Sound for personalised frequency compensation based on individual hearing profiles.

The Enco Air3 Pro offers app and feature customisation based on the user’s device. Oppo and OnePlus phone users can access the app in the Bluetooth settings, while other users can use the HeyMelody app, available on iOS and Android. The app allows users to fine-tune features like equaliser presets, ANC levels, and personalisation. The earphones support multi-point connectivity, enabling pairing with two devices simultaneously. The Enco Air3 Pro is equipped with bamboo-fibre diaphragms, which is a departure from the metal diaphragms commonly found in earphones. It has 12.4mm dynamic drivers, a frequency response range of 20-40,000Hz, and a sensitivity rating of 107dB. The earphones support Bluetooth 5.3 and offer versatile connectivity options with SBC, AAC, and LDAC Bluetooth codecs.

In terms of performance, the Enco Air3 Pro aligns itself with specific devices to enhance sound quality. The LDAC Bluetooth codec support improves the audio experience significantly, especially on Android devices, compared to the AAC codec on iOS. The combination of the advanced Bluetooth codec and soundstage creates a balanced and detailed audio experience. The Enco Air3 Pro also offers spatial virtualisation, providing an enjoyable and spacious feel even at higher volumes. The Golden Sound enhancement tailors the audio to the listener’s hearing profile. However, the highs can sometimes be overwhelming, particularly at higher volume levels. The active noise cancellation of the Enco Air3 Pro effectively reduces background sounds for a more comfortable listening experience. The in-canal fit enhances noise isolation, and the adjustable ANC modes fine-tune the performance for different environments. The call quality of the earphones is good, both indoors and outdoors. The battery life of the Enco Air3 Pro is approximately 15 to 16 hours of listening with ANC and the LDAC Bluetooth codec enabled. Overall, the Oppo Enco Air3 Pro offers significant upgrades and stands out in the budget true wireless earphones category.
