Firozabad’s Tikri village is filled with pride and joy as local resident Dharmendra Pratap Yadav, an accomplished ISRO scientist, prepares to take part in the upcoming Chandrayaan 3 mission. Dharmendra, who hails from an agrarian community, has already made a name for himself by contributing to the Mangalyaan project.

In his new role in the Chandrayaan 3 team, Dharmendra will be responsible for transmitting signals during the lunar mission. As Chandrayaan 3’s landing on the moon’s surface approaches on August 23, Dharmendra’s hard work and dedication will finally pay off.

Dharmendra’s journey to becoming an ISRO scientist has been one of academic excellence. After completing his engineering studies at Mathura Hindustan College and his MTech from Jalandhar Punjab, he joined ISRO on August 5, 2011. Prior to that, he was also a part of the Mangalyaan team.

Dharmendra’s family, including his parents Shambhu Dayal Yadav and Kamla Devi, along with his uncle and other relatives, reside in Tikri village. His younger brother, Upendra Yadav, is currently pursuing BTech. Dharmendra himself is a married man, living with his wife and child.

The accomplishments of Dharmendra Pratap Yadav not only bring honor to his village but also highlight the talent and dedication of individuals contributing to India’s advancements in space exploration. With the Chandrayaan 3 mission, India aims to be the fourth country in the world to achieve a soft landing on the moon. The mission is scheduled to take place on August 23, 2023, and will be broadcast live on the ISRO website, YouTube channel, Facebook, and DD National TV.
