The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Wednesday. Shares of LTIMindtree Ltd(up 0.67 per cent), Tata Consultancy(up 0.48 per cent), Infosys(up 0.3 per cent), L&T Technology(up 0.29 per cent) and HCL Technologies(up 0.25 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Tech Mahindra(down 1.01 per cent), Coforge(down 0.97 per cent), MPhasis(down 0.6 per cent), Persistent Systems(down 0.49 per cent) and Wipro(down 0.44 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day. The Nifty IT index closed 0.07 per cent up at 30924.1. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 47.55 points at 19444.0, while the BSE Sensex stood up 213.27 points at 65433.3. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 ended in the green, while 19 closed in the red.
