Union home minister Amit Shah launched the BJP’s election campaign in Telangana by targeting the dynasty politics of the three major parties in the state. Referring to the ruling BRS, its ally AIMIM, and Congress as ‘2G, 3G, and 4G’ parties respectively, Shah highlighted the generational leadership within each party. He called Congress a four-generation party, KCR’s party a two-generation party, and AIMIM a three-generation party. Shah confidently declared that the future chief minister of Telangana will be from BJP under the leadership of PM Modi. Shah also criticized the BRS government and its alliance with AIMIM, stating that BRS has shattered the dreams of those who fought for a separate statehood. Shah asserted that the countdown has started for the end of the corrupt and oppressive BRS government. The home minister further mentioned the alliance between BRS and AIMIM, claiming that Owaisi controls the steering of BRS’ car (poll symbol). Shah accused the BRS regime of neglecting the ideals of the martyrs of Telangana liberation struggle.
