National Conference president Farooq Abdullah stated that the most crucial item on the agenda of the opposition INDIA alliance’s meeting would be how to win the 2024 elections and the campaign strategy that will be employed. Immediately after arriving in Mumbai, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir told reporters that a final roadmap needs to be prepared to counter the BJP. He also mentioned that it should be made clear by September 1 about who would be the convenor of the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), or if a convenor is even necessary. He informed that the Panthers Party from Jammu will also be attending the alliance meetings on August 31 and September 1. Abdullah said that the primary agenda would be to discuss how to win elections and what main aspects need to be focused on during the campaign. Furthermore, discussions will also take place on saving the Constitution, promoting a sense of brotherhood in the country, and bridging the divide created on religious lines.
