Coleman finished with a time of 9.83 seconds, drawing cheers from the crowd at the Egret Stadium in Xiamen. Jamaican athlete Kishane Thompson claimed silver with a time of 9.85 seconds, while American Fred Kerley took bronze in 9.96 seconds. Coleman’s win reaffirmed his potential following a fifth-placed finish at the Budapest world championships. The event also saw standout performances from other athletes, including Hansle Parchment’s surprise victory in the men’s 110m hurdles.
