IndusInd Bank has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the upcoming Cricket World Cup in India. The deal, valued at $20-$24 million, will see IndusInd Bank become a top-tier sponsor of the tournament. This sponsorship deal comes after digital payments platform BharatPe and edtech company Byju’s decided to prematurely end their association with ICC due to financial difficulties. Mastercard has also recently become a top-tier sponsor for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Other top-tier sponsors of ICC include MRF Tyres, Booking.com, Aramco, and Emirates. This sponsorship deal highlights the ongoing investments and partnerships between financial institutions and major sporting events.
