External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar responded to criticism from opposition parties regarding the mention of ‘Bharat’ in the G20 dinner invitation. He stated that India being referred to as Bharat is mentioned in the Constitution and invited everyone to read it. The opposition accused the government of creating drama, while BJP leaders supported the decision. Jaishankar also spoke about the government’s efforts to host G20 events in various parts of India and stressed the need for a greater global awareness in today’s India.
