Prime Minister Narendra Modi has outlined several instructions for ministers in preparation for the G20 Summit. The summit, hosted by India, is of utmost importance for the country’s global image. Modi has emphasized that ministers should avoid using their official vehicles and instead utilize the shuttle service to reach various meeting venues, including Bharat Mandapam. In addition, he has encouraged the use of the G20 India mobile app, which offers translation and navigation facilities for effective communication with foreign dignitaries during the summit. Modi has urged the ministers to be punctual and ensure that foreign officials do not face any inconvenience. Furthermore, the central government plans to provide hands-on experiences to around 1,000 visiting foreign delegates regarding UPI wallets technology. The delegates will also be informed about the ease of making payments through the indigenous solution. Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra has briefed the ministers in detail about the protocol and related matters. The G20 Summit is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on September 9-10 at the state-of-the-art Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan. India assumed the G20 presidency on December 1 last year and has organized approximately 200 meetings related to the summit in 60 cities across the country.
