Stock Market Update: Nifty Pharma Index Falls 0.12% in a Weak Market

The Nifty Pharma index traded negative on Thursday morning in a weak market. Natco Pharma, Granules India, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Gland Pharma, and Alkem Laboratories were among the top gainers, while Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Cipla, Aurobindo Pharma, and Lupin were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.12% at 15,337.15 at the time of reporting. The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 20.45 points at 19,590.6, while the BSE Sensex was down 77.98 points at 65,802.54. Out of the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of JP Power, Indian Railway Fin, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE. In today’s trade, Responsive Ind., Cochin Shipyard, Usha Martin, GRSE, and IOL Chemicals hit their fresh 52-week highs, while Bombay Metrics Suppl, Penta Gold, Redtape L, Sanco Industries, and Atam Valves hit fresh 52-week lows.
