China Satisfied with New Delhi Declaration at G20 Summit

China expressed satisfaction with the formulation on Ukraine and the Chinese Premier, Li Qiang, addressed the G20 leaders, highlighting the need to make the bloc an economic forum rather than a political platform. This sentiment was reflected in the New Delhi declaration. The New Delhi declaration stressed the importance of all states acting in line with the purposes and principles of the UN Charter. The Bali declaration, in contrast, specifically mentioned Russia’s voting patterns in the UNSC and criticized its aggression against Ukraine. The New Delhi declaration also reaffirmed that the G20 is the premier forum for international economic cooperation. Chinese Premier Li Qiang, representing President Xi Jinping at the summit, urged G20 members to promote economic globalization and unity.
