BJP to Set Up 300 Call Centres to Organise Ground-Level Work

The BJP has embarked on a project to set up 300 call centres across the country, specifically to manage campaigns for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. During a meeting on September 1, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, together with party insiders, devised a plan to divide the country into 10 zones, each supervised by an in-charge who would coordinate and oversee the campaign within that zone. Arun Singh, BJP General Secretary, has written to all the zonal and state in-charges, instructing them to identify suitable locations for setting up these call centres. Party offices with internet connectivity and other facilities should be given preference, with each centre having a minimum of 27 seats. These call centres will play a crucial role in organizing ground-level work and establishing connections with voters through local teams until the day of elections. They will also provide appropriate campaign content to the teams. On the day of elections, call centres are utilized to contact voters and verify if they have voted. The party had previously set up 190 such call centres during the 2019 elections. Additionally, the party-appointed in-charges for each zone will remain in constant communication with five central office leaders. These in-charges have been instructed to conduct workshops for district-level teams by September 20. The BJP has partnered with communication consultancy firm Jarvis to establish and manage these call centres. Jarvis has been working with the party for several years, operating from the BJP headquarters in New Delhi. Their involvement ensures effective coordination between all the call centres. These call centres will act as a bridge between the state communications team, the Saral portal team managing constituency-wise voter details, state data management and IT team, and the central communication and data team. Their purpose is to provide real-time information and communication to the voters. The BJP’s efforts to strengthen their campaign management demonstrate the party’s commitment to engage with voters at the grassroots level and effectively convey their message.
