The premiere of the documentary ‘Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero’ at the Toronto International Film Festival was delayed on Saturday night due to a bomb threat. Lil Nas X’s documentary, directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada and Zac Manuel, documents the pop superstar’s eight-month tour starting in September 2022 for his debut album ‘Montero.’ The authorities confirmed that the threat was not directed specifically at the film or the artist. The screening began after a slight delay of about 20 minutes while the threat was investigated by the Toronto police. Lil Nas X was kept off the red carpet during that time to ensure safety. Judy Lung, the vice president of public affairs and communications for TIFF, stated that standard security measures were in place and the threat was deemed to be general. The premiere continued successfully after the delay, and no further disruptions were reported.
