Axis Finance has challenged the National Company Law Tribunal’s (NCLT) approval of the merger between Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd and Sony Pictures Networks India Pvt Ltd. This challenge comes after the NCLT’s Mumbai bench dismissed all applications against the merger on August 10. The merger, which was approved by Zee Entertainment’s board of directors in December 2019, aims to create the largest entertainment network in the country. Axis Finance’s challenge will now be heard by the NCLAT (National Company Law Appellate Tribunal).
