The T20 format will be showcased at the Asian Games 2023 cricket tournament, which is scheduled to take place from September 23 to October 8 in Hangzhou, China. Both men’s and women’s competitions will be part of this edition. The men’s tournament will consist of 15 teams, including top-ranked teams like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. These four teams will directly enter the quarter-finals, while the remaining 11 teams will start from the group stage. The top four teams from the group stage will join the quarter-finalists.

The women’s cricket tournament will also be played in the T20 format, and it will run from September 19 to 25. Like the men’s tournament, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have received direct entry into the quarter-finals, while the remaining four teams have been divided into two groups. The top eight teams will be determined after round-robin matches and a quarter-final qualifier.
